REAL ESTATE Clancy Residence
BY YVONNE FODEN AND MELINA TAYLOR
“I have a gift where I can go into a home and see its potential. I had a vision to bring it to this level from the get go,” Clancy says. Clancy has been able to create a work of art that is rare in Knoxville. Even though the house is influenced by modern design and is decorated with contemporary furniture, Clancy’s unique aptitude for design has allowed her home to be cozy and cutting edge.
The open contemporary California design was inspired by architect Richard Neutra. The actualprocess of reconfiguring the house took almost a year to complete. It included removing most of the interior walls, lifting the roof to allow for high ceilings, expanding the bedrooms and adding a wing to complete Paula’s ideal U-shaped design.
