At the close of the meal, with the coaches and Al in their practice attire, Floyd rose to speak. “I want to thank everyone for coming today and for allowing me to attend practice every day. I guess you all are wondering what I expect in return for sponsoring this great meal in such a classy joint. Well, nothing much, really. Just a small request.” Floyd eased a piece of paper from his jacket pocket. “You see, I’ve been working on a new play that I’d like to see you run this week.” Silence  lled the room until Floyd and all the coaches broke out in laughter. It was the highlight of his life as a Tennessee football fan.My Uncle Floyd died on a spring day at the age of 80 and now rests beside his beloved Helen. During the service, a large orange  oral Power T with white trim stood next to his casket.The arrangement had a card that read, “From Coach Phillip Fulmer and the Tennessee Vol Football Sta .” Floyd Edgar Cli , Jr.—not only a great fan, but a great man.Robert E.
