We talked with local  tness experts and gathered some words of wisdom.SET YOUR CORRECT DESTINATION: GOALSThe main reason why most of us don’t achieve our new year’s resolutions is because we set too many or unrealistic goals for ourselves. “When it comes to getting in shape, setting realistic goals and doing everything in moderation are key,” says Vickey Beard, Director of Healthy Living and Training at YMCA of East Tennessee. “I’ve been in this business since 1980, and I’ve realized what most of us do wrong when trying to get in shape is overdo it. If you push your body to the point of injury, you won’t be able to exercise, so pace yourself.”
