Holdsclaw
Chamique
Holdsclaw is, quite
simply, one of the greatest
women’Äôs basketball players ever. At Christ
the King in Queens, NewYork, she won
four high school state championships
from 1992 through 1995. As a Lady Vol,
playing for Pat Summitt, she won three
consecutive NCAA championships in
1996, 1997, and 1998. She was a two-
time NaismithAward winner, the No. 1
pick of the 1999WNBA draft, a six-time
professional all-star, and an Olympic
Goldmedalist. Her recent book,
’ÄúBreaking Through: Beating the Odds
Shot After Shot,’Äù details Holdsclaw’Äôs life
challenges and personal obstacles.
Cornerback Jabari Greer

’ÄúWinning the Super Bowl was pure exhaustion. It’Äôs an
experience of joy and happiness and fulfillment, but the
biggest joy that I had was seeing my children on the 50-
yard line with the confetti flowing. As a kid, I could only
watch the Super Bowl from my room at my house, but now
God has blessed me with the opportunity to actually have
my children and my family on the 50-yard line with the
confetti falling on them. That was the pinnacle. That was
the best feeling’Äîjust sharing that moment with my family.
’ÄúI want to thank all of my fans:
Thank you for your support
through a tough year. I
love coming back to
Knoxville: it’Äôs a place
where everyone
wants to hug me
and give me
strength.’Äù
