Surprising Things Come
In Small Packages!
Ladybugs:
They are seeking
a warm, inviting home for winter
hibernation. If you see lots of ladybugs
clustered inside or outside your home, you have
a problem! They particularly like to crawl around
on windows and often emit a staining fluid that will
soil your curtains or furniture. Ladybugs and their
secretions have also been known to aggravate
allergy symptoms.
Kudzu bugs
are new to this
area and were first introduced in
Georgia. They have rapidly multiplied
and are now making their way to Tennessee.
They are small oval, olive green stink bugs, and
their favorite foods are kudzu and soybeans.
Just like ladybugs, they are looking for a warm
place, like your home, to spend the winter. If
crushed, they emit a very pungent smell which
can even be nauseating.

refuge inside your home for the
upcoming winter. Another prime
winter hideout is within the siding of your home
or nestled in the loose bark of large trees. If a
stink bug is squished, it emits a noxious odor
similar to cilantro.
You would be surprised at the unpleasant things a very small
bug can create. With the temperatures cooling during the
autumn, here’Äôs the rundown on what kind of bugs to expect.
