SplashJam
On Saturday, July 20, the
morning dawned bright and
sunny. Soon, a crowd began
to assemble on the shores of
Fort Loudoun Lake. At 9 a.m.,
Cityview
’Äôs inaugural SplashJam
kicked offwith 3- and 6-mile
Stand-Up Paddeboard (SUP)
races. By noon, the food
trucks were set up along the
edge of the Cove in Concord
Park, a climbingwall had been
erected, and Doug Shock and
Jason Ellis were playing on the
Mastercraft stage’Äîand the
festivities had truly begun.
The afternoon featured a
double-elimination race on
SUPsquatch boards’Äîextra
large paddleboardsmanned
by eight paddlers. Co-
sponsored by River Sports and
the American Boat Center,
SplashJam raised awareness
and donations for the Fort
Loudoun Lake Association, a
non-profit organization that
works to get thewaters of
Fort Loudoun Lake clean and
